Who is responsible for the Institute

The Aurelle Institute elects professionals to seats on published criteria. This page says who stands behind it and who decides.

Who runs Aurelle

Run by
Aurelle, a publisher based in Iroquois Falls, Ontario, Canada.
People
A founder, who is not named on these sites, runs Aurelle. Reviewers join Aurelle Standards at the first election in January 2027; their names, credentials and review dates will be published on the Aurelle Institute site.
What Aurelle is not
Not a registered dealer, adviser, tax preparer, accounting firm, immigration consultant or law firm in any province, territory or state.

How a seat is decided

  1. Aurelle compares an applicant's registrations with the regulators' public registers.
  2. It collects the applicant's fees, ways of being paid, licences and client reviews, and checks them against the six criteria.
  3. Aurelle Standards decides in writing, with reasons. A reviewer with a tie to the applicant takes no part.
  4. The seat holder appears on the roll with the date of every check, and the checks run again each year.

Who decides

Until the first election, the founder drafts the criteria, the charter and the policies, and decides nothing about any applicant. The founder is not a lawyer, an accountant or a planner. That is why every criterion names the public record it is checked against.

From January 2027, reviewers on Aurelle Standards decide. Their names, credentials and ties to Aurelle are published on the Standards page.

How Aurelle is paid

Professionals pay Aurelle to hold a seat. That is a conflict of interest, and Aurelle publishes how it limits it. How Aurelle is paid.

The other two Aurelle sites

Aurelle is for people with money in Canada, the United States or both: calculators, the Diagnostic, the show and Introductions. Aurelle Academy is for students and trainees: free lessons and, later, Handbooks.
